The citizens of countries that could enter without a visa were not examined before entering a Canadian entrance port. The Canadian authorities allow all travellers and their authorized representatives to fill in the application for a safe travel authorization, available in the website. Once all information and details of the travel have been sent, the authorities will analyze the information and decide whether the applicant fulfill all requirements and may be qualified to the electronic travel authorization to enter Canada. The system will automatically supply an answer before the date of the travel. The airline company will verify with Canadian authorities whether the eTA has been granted.
An eTA does not grant your entrance in Canada, but allows a foreign citizen to travel to a Canadian port of entrance, where an immigration officer may authorize or deny the entrance to Canada.
eTA is usually valid for 5 years, counting from the date of issuance or until the validity of the passport, whichever comes first.
Applicants may not change information that has already been sent, however we suggest you pay close attention to sent passport and personal information.
If your passport information changes (renewal, change of last name etc.), you must require a new electronic travel authorization.
If have your eTA denied you may apply for a temporary permanence visa at the closest office of Canadian visa processing.
Generally it is allowed to study for more than 6 months, depending on the intended course.
In some cases, the e-mail server refuses to send messages to the eTA’s system. In this case, get in contact with our team for more clarification.
